SERVICES HELD FOR MADALYNN BLAKEMORE

Funeral services for Madalynn Marguerite Paden Blakemore, 88, of Stilwell, were held Friday, May 26, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. W. O. Hatley and Dr Dwayne Conner officiating. Burial was in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.

She was born on January 30, 1907 in Stilwell, Indian Territory, to John Bell Paden and Maude Alma Starr Paden. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Oak Grove Home Extension group, and was a longtime Adair County Voter Registrar.

She was married to R. K. Wade on Dec. 25, 1927 in Stilwell; and three children were born of this marriage.

She was married to Clarence W. Blakemore in March, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1967. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jack, Colbert, John Bell, and Harrison Paden; one grand-daughter, Sharon Ruth Blakemore; three sisters, Ruth Alberty, Mayme Buffington, Maud McGee; and two sons, Sam and McClure Blakemore.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence W. (Noon) Blakemore, Jr. of Stilwell, and Jack M. Wade of Springerville, Arizona; four daughters, Joan Isaacs, Phoenix, Arizona, Jananna Lowedermilk of Stilwell, Mary Maud Thomason, Broken Arrow, Peggy Pettigrew/Ault, Tulsa; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, eight grand-grand-grandhildren, and several nieces and nephews.
