Rev. Dopson and family moved to Union County, Arkansas between 1884 and 1888. Oral information handed down in the family tells of him constructing the original building for the New Prospect Methodist Church, which was located in a community generally known as Concord. A cemetery was established just across the road from the church. The church and cemetery names were later changed to Sweet Home. The church building no longer exists, but the cemetery is still in use today.
