DEATH OF MRS. ELLIS PEEBLER. Delilah Brown Peebler was born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, October 15, 1840, died February 28, 1897, aged fifty-six years, four months, seventeen days. Mrs. PEEBLER was in her usual health up to the Friday night before her death, when she was suddenly taken with a pain in her side…..From the first she seemed to know that death would relieve her. The cause of her death was congestion of the stomach. She was well known, having lived in Des Moines Township since 1848, when she came here with her parents. On January 31, 1861, she was united in marriage with Ellis H. PEEBLER. This union was blessed with eleven children, three of whom preceded her to the spirit world. In 1866 she, with her husband, united with the Brethren church, and lived a faithful and devoted Christian to the last…..She leaves a husband and eight children: George near County Line; F. W. and Lewis, of Libertyville; Mrs. R. J. PARKER, near Batavia; Mrs. T. H. GLENN, of Montana, and James and Ada still at home…..The funeral was held at the Brethren church, Tuesday, March 2nd, at 11 a.m., Rev. Mr. Wolf officiating. A large concourse of friends assembled. The remains were laid to rest in the Brethren cemetery. As she lived, so she died, in the triumph of a living faith. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.
