Noted as Midland's oldest living resident. I've been told the headstone reads 'Mother Hatfield' which is incorrect. Lived to 103. Daughter of Joseph Hill (Germany) and Susan Minnie (Penn. a believed slave). Nancy had 10 children.

Mrs. Nancy Conway died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amos hatfield last Friday night. Mrs. Conway was born in Fayette Co. Penn. Sep.9,1797 & had been a resident of Miland county during the past 20 yers. She had been married 75 yrs & was the mother of 10 children,three of whom survive her. Mrs. Nancy Hatfield, Mrs. Matthew Phillips & George Conway are the children. The deceased had been a member of the Methodist church for 80 years. The funeral was held at the house Sunday, Rev. Willlits conducting the services.
