Jean is survived by her husband; three daughters, Karen, Kathleen (J. Kevin) Jones, Joan (Thomas) Hewitson; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Mary) Watson; and a loving extended family.
Jean and Kent spent decades working side-by-side managing Watson Warehouse & Storage Co. and Jess Watson Transfer, family businesses started by her father.
For 17 years Jean and Kent could be found waving from the UP&L 1924 Model T Ford in parades throughout Utah, Idaho & Wyoming. They enjoyed traveling around the world together. She loved meeting people and learning about them and their history, music, dance, food and customs.
"Jean the Mom" could always be counted on to serve in her community and church. She served as PTA Pres., 4-H Leader and as a volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital for 21 years; president of Primary, Young Women and Relief Society; chorister, choir director and shared her beautiful singing voice whenever asked. For 10 years Jean & Kent sang with the Jay Welch Chorale and loved being a part of that group.
Her family was the focus of her life. Sunday dinners, singing, dancing, Christmas Eve, Christmas cookies, caroling, Disneyland, Swiss Days, Raging Waters, a kiss, a hug, and always a word of encouragement.
"I feel deeply blessed with my heritage, our families, friends, to be an American, a member of this wonderful church, a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. We are all so richly blessed." ~ Jean Albrand
