Sylvia Moran, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away July 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on October 29, 1919, in Arnaudville, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Zula Gilbeau Fruge and Edward Lastie Fruge.
She was an accomplished artist, and seamstress. Sylvia and late husband, Glenn, loved to square dance and travel; they visited forty-nine of the fifty states - - the mid-west and north-west many times. Alaska was a favorite-visiting six times.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents (Zula and Edward Fruge), her husband of 52 years, Glenn Moran and her niece Debra Leger Dean.
Those who will cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherry Lester and husband, Thomas Lester; step¬son, Glenn Thomas Moran and wife, Jackie; four grandchildren; four great granddaughters; one great grandson; two great-great grandsons; her sisters, Louella Ravencraft, Mildred Leger, and Gloria Wade; two nieces, Dr. Carol Fetters and Cindy Idom; and two nephews, Larry Leger and Lonnie Leger.
