Molly Frerichs
Molly Frerichs, 93 of Caldwell, passed away Thursday, August 5, 1999, at Cascade Care Center, Caldwell. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 9, 1999, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Molly was born Feb. 28, 1906, at Sugar City, CO, a daughter of Jacob and Amelia Stricker. She moved with her parents to Torrington, WY and later to Scottsbluff, NB, where she met and married her husband, Gotthilf Harrold on Feb. 8, 1925. She and Gotthilf moved to Idaho in 1945, where they began farming in the Maple Grove area. She then moved to Caldwell where she met and married Walter Frerichs. She worked for the J.R. Simplot Co. from which she retired in 1972. She also worked for numerous ladies in the Caldwell area doing housework. She had a special relationship with God and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Caldwell for over 50 years. She took great pride in her flowers and loved to cook. She will always be remembered for her egg noodles, cabbage rolls, glace and cooga that she shared with her family and friends. She was never too busy to do a favor for a friend and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Molly is survived by her daughter, Lois and Gene Dull of Boise; three grandchildren, Debra and Ray Boyer of Middleton, Kay Simpkins of Silverdale, WA and Gwen Jones of Caldwell; five great-grandchildren, Jason and Chris Woods of Nampa, Shaunna and Shawn King of Orem, UT., Dawna Ray of Nampa, Kathy Simpkins of Silverdale, WA. Jennifer Selves of Snoqualmie, WA; two great-great-grandchildren, Kayla Ray of Nampa and Hannah King of Orem, UT; one brother, Fred Stricker of Torrington, WY; three sisters, Alma Olsen of Torrington, WY, Mary Webb of Littleton, CO, and Mildred Brown of Parma and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gotthilf and Walter; a daughter, Phyllis; grandson, Richie Ray; 3 sisters at 2 brothers.
In lieu of flowers, Molly has requested that donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Caldwell. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and aides of Cascade Care Center for their special loving care.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
