Son of John and Martha Brown, husband of Marjorie P. Horton and father of Dalmar and Craig Brown.

Obituary - J. Dallas Brown, 61, of 206 Bay Avenue, Patchogue, died Friday at South Side Hospital, Bay Shore.

Born in Keyport, N.J., he lived in Patchogue for the past 56 years.

He was a salesman for the Texaco Company, South Suffolk district for 44 years, and received a citation from the Texaco Company for serving over 40 years. He was also a member of South Side Lodge, F. & A. M., of Patchogue; senior warden and treasurer of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Patchogue for over 30 years; member of the brotherhood of St. Andrew of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Patchogue, and a member of the Green T. Square of New York City.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Patchogue; a daughter, Miss Dalmar Brown of Springfield College, Springfield, Mass.; a son, Craig Brown; three sisters, Miss Gladys Brown, Mrs. Alice Healy, and Mrs. Peter DeGraaf; brothers, Stanley and Albert Brown, all of Patchogue.

Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. at the Pettit Funeral Home, Patchogue. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Patchogue, at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Richard C. Chapin, rector, and the Rev. Hanington Wilson, rector emeritus of St. Paul's, officiating. Interment followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue. The vestry of St. Paul's acted as honorary pall bearers.
