CENTRAL CITY - Anna June Hamby, 68, of Central City, died Monday, July 2, 2012 at 2:15PM at her home. Mrs. Hamby was born December 31, 1943 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hamby; brothers Jewell Wayne Eaves and Nevil Mosby; and sister, Betty Piper.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Tammy) Burden of Central City and Leslie Burden of Central City; grandchildren Brandon (Stacy) Burden, Brittany (Tony) Hilburn, Megan Burden, and Sarah Burden; great-grandchildren Lane Burden and James Hilburn; and sisters Sylvia Fraze of Central City, Jenny Brewer of Cleaton, Ella Johnson of Cleaton, Oza Nannie of Cleaton, and Barbara (David) Russ of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Pierce and Rev. Lee Brown. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
