Mrs. SYBIL CARR
ADDISON - Mrs. Sybil Carr, 78, sister of LeGrand Dow and Mrs. Marguerite Smith of Bennington, died Thursday at the home of her son, Wayne Carr of Bridport.
Mrs. Carr was born in Lincoln on Nov 1, 1891, daughter of John and Cora (Sherman) Dow. She was a member of the Addison Community Baptist Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church. She had lived most of her life.
Survivors besides her brother and sister in Bennington are two sons, Maxwell Carr of Addison and Wayne of Bridport, a daughter Mrs. Alfreda Sabourin of Bridport; another brother, Rex Dow of Addison; two other sisters, Mrs. Pearl Provencha of Bristol and Mrs. Beth Clark of Addison; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 pm at the Addison County Community Church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Lincoln.
Visiting hours at the Larrow Funeral Home in Vergennes are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
