Mary Louise Trettenero, 78, passed away on June 28, 2012 at Medical Center of the Rockies.

Mary was born May 21, 1934 to Ted and Mable Dalgarn in Kimball, Neb. She grew up in Kimball, Neb. and spent a lot of time at the farm of her grandparents, Evert and Maude Evertson. Mary graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1952.

She married Don Trettenero on March 18, 1962 in Fort Morgan.

Mary was looking forward to attending her 60th Class Reunion in September.

Mary enjoyed various jobs throughout her life. She worked for a phone company in Scottsbluff, Neb., Castler & Co. Mortgage Company in Denver, and ran an A&W in Fort Morgan with Don. When they moved to LaJunta, Colo., she was employed at Culligan Softwater Company. In 1970 they moved to Greeley, Colo., where she worked a number of years at State Farm. In 1976 they moved to Windsor, Colo. where she worked for the Windsor Police Department for 10 years as the receptionist and dispatcher.

After leaving the WPD, Mary became more active in the First United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She organized and cooked numerous meals for many Church and other Community activities that were held in the Church. She spent many hours/years volunteering and running the clothes closet at the church.

After Don's retirement they bought a fifth wheel trailer and hit the road traveling to various areas across the United States and Canada for the next six years. They traveled to Alaska four different times, taking their oldest grandsons on three of those trips. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, her flowers in the yard, making numerous greeting cards on the computer, and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed time on her computer with Facebook, e-mails, and playing various games. She always looked forward to the annual get-togethers with her girlfriends from high school. Their gatherings started with 15 attendees and they continued every year for 60 years. These were moments that brought a smile to her face.

Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Don Trettenero of Windsor; daughter, Laura Ackelson of Windsor; step-daughter, Toni (Jim) Hynes of Blair, Neb.; grandsons Tyler Hamilton of Windsor, Ethan (Stevie) Hamilton of Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dylan Ackelson of Windsor; granddaughter Faith Ackelson of Windsor; step-granddaughters Amber Pallas of Omaha, Neb., Erin (David) Levering of Lincoln, Neb.; brothers Allen (Barbara) Dalgarn of Scottsbluff; Collin (Denise) Dalgarn of Camerillo, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ted and Mable Dalgarn, sister Margie Heidemann, and mother and father in law John and Ruby Fuchs.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6, at First United Methodist Church, 503 Walnut St., Windsor.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to Marks Funeral & Cremation Service, 9293 Eastman Park Dr., Windsor, Colo. 80550. Online memorials may be made at www.marksfuneralservice.com.
