LYNN P. AKERS
Age 48, 2200 Cottonwood Dr., died suddenly early morning en route to St. Johns Hospital.
Mr. Akers had been employed at Delco-Remy Division, Plant 4, Dept 413, for 24 years.
He was born Jan 1, 1918 in Lathrop, Mo., to Ernest L. and Olive Hester (Dangerfield) Akers and had been a resident of the Anderson area for 30 years.
He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the UAW-CIO. He married Ina A. Craig in Pendleton in 1947; she survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Olive Akers of Anderson; one daughter, Sharon Kay, one son, Gregory Lynn, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Ilene Michael of Polo, Mo., and two brothers, Raymond E. Akers and Billy W. Akers, both of Anderson.
Final Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Harold E. Rozelle Funeral Home. Rev. Monroe G. Schuster, pastor of the Central Christian Church, will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
