Emzy D. Allen, age 85 years, a resident of Greenfield, Indiana passed away Saturday June 30, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield Indiana.
He was born March 17, 1927 in Mohawk, West Virginia to the late Andy Hobart & Louise Allen.
He was a retired Ford Motor Company employee and a former coal miner.
He is survived by son, George Emzy Allen and his wife Nina of New Palestine, Indiana and daughters: Teresa A. Waldron and her husband Kenny of Virginia, Harriet (Fritzie) Beikman and her husband David of Arkansas, two sisters; Ethel Birchfield of Mohawk, West Virginia, and Lucille Raper of Hazel Park, Michigan.
Eight grandchildren: Amanda N. Pottle, Annelise K. Osterday, Andrew T. Allen, Thomas Bailey, Anthony Hobart Emzy Allen, Amelia Allen, Michael W. Beikman, Seth Allen Beikman, and Charity E. Waldron.
Seven great grandchildren: Lennon Pottle, Lucy Pottle, Maxwell Pottle, Aurelia Allen, Kylie Beikman, MaKenna Bailey, and Trenton Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virgie Deloris Allen (Smith), and two brothers Sidney Allen of Greenfield, Indiana and Harry F. Allen of Welch, West Virginia.
He was a faithful follower of the Family Worship Center Church of God Greenfield, Indiana and a former member of Isaban Church of God in Isaban, West Virginia. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Allen Family Cemetery in Bull Creek, West Virginia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield and The Fanning Funeral Home of Iaeger, West Virginia.
Any memorial contributions should be made to each individual's local church in memory of Emzy D. Allen as requested by the Allen family.
