Husband of Harriet Grosh. Burial in row 9, stone 12

Mr. Reuben S. Grosh, a prominent resident of Manheim township, died on Thursday, May 30th, at his late residence in Neffsville, of nervous prostration, after an illness of several months. Mr. Grosh was a son of the late Thomas Grosh, a prominent drover, who died about seventeen years ago. Mr. Grosh was born in Manheim township, February 8, 1836, and was for a number of years a resident of Lititz, but for the past seventeen years or more had resided in Neffsville. During his life e followed the occupation of droving, which he commenced while quite a boy and continued up to within a short time of his death. Mr. Grosh was twice married, the children of his first wife being Ida, wife of Dr. R.P.R. Huyett, of Reading, Pa., and Tillie, wife of Wm. Shannon, druggist, Philadelphia. His second wife was Amelia, daughter of Mr. Wm. Weidle, of Lancaster. By his second marriage he had three children, an infant son, who died about ten years ago, and Beulah and Hattie, at home. His surviving brothers and sisters are Mr. Jefferson Grosh, of Neffsville; Mrs. Levi Hoffman, Mount Joy; Mrs. John Evans, Lititz. Mr. Grosh was a kind husband, father and neighbor, having a large circle of friends and acquaintances throughout the county, who will greatly deplore his death.
