-- ROCK HILL - Mr. Marion Scott Adkins, 50, of 4076 Madonna Drive, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732, with the Rev. Daniel Smoak officiating and the Rev. James Gable assisting. Burial will follow in Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Scott was a native of Rock Hill and the son of Bill and Elita Wallace Adkins. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and was a warehouse manager with Gateway Supply.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Linda Hyatt Adkins, of the home; his son, Mitchell Scott Adkins and wife, Erica; his daughter, Anna Louise Adkins, of the home; three sisters, Linda Messer and husband, Bob, Karen Boyd and husband, Mark and Debbie Smith and husband, Wayne; two nephews, Richard Messer and wife, Amie and children, Allan, Brittany and Leigha and Garrett Adkins and children, Katelyn and Pressley; six nieces, Lisa Davis and daughter, Megan, Tracey McAteer and children, Justin, Matthew and Nicolas, Danielle Wallace and children, Chesnee and Ashton, Mandy Boyd, Margo Thrush and children, Corbin, Katlin and Brayden and Liza Mobley and children, Jackson and Hadley; and numerous friends, too many to list by name. Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Adkins.
