Buddie M. Robnett went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 30, 2012 following a brief illness. He was admitted to Home Hospice of Odessa, Texas on June 12, 2012 and moved to Hospice House on June 14, 2012 where he was lovingly cared for by the Angels of Hospice House until his untimely death at age 64 years.

Buddie was born in Littlefield, Texas on January 9, 1948 to Zeph and Edna Mae Robnett. He grew up in Earth, Texas where he attended schools there until he graduated from high school in 1965. He attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University where he majored in accounting. While working at Lubbock National Bank he met and married Carla Sue Fortune. They were married for 25 years and had 3 children. They lived in Lockney, Texas for many years and Buddie was an active member of the Lockney Baptist Church until he moved to Lubbock, Texas in March of 1996.

Buddie met Lynn Pool Day in October of 1995 at a Singles Ministry Function in Lubbock, Texas. They were married on March 16, 1996 and they had a very happy marriage until his death.

Buddie was employed by U.S.D.A. for over 23 years until he retired in 1998. Following his retirement from U.S.D.A., he was employed by Lowe's Grocery Store/Ace Hardware in Lubbock and Odessa, Texas until October 2011. He was the Night Manager of the West University Street Lowe's/Ace Hardware Store in Odessa. He loved his fellow employees and was always willing to help anyone in need. He sometimes helped pay for his customers groceries when their funds ran short, gave customers a ride home if necessary, and would even go to their homes when time allowed to help work on or finish repairs if they needed help or were unable to do the job themselves! He was a man of few words and believed hands on teaching was most effective. Buddie was known for always having a project going. He could be found working on cars and piddling in the shop most days after he retired. He was greatly loved by everyone who knew him and will be sorely missed.
