She was the daughter of the late John C. and Grace B. (Deardorff) Bream.
Mrs. Longstaff was a graduate of Gettysburg High School and recently celebrated her 75th class reunion. She was a graduate of Shippensburg University, where she also received her Masters Degree in education. Mrs. Schriver Longstaff was an elementary school teacher in the Gettysburg School District for 25 years. She was also a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, where she was a Sunday School teacher for more than 20 years.
She was a volunteer for many years at the Gettysburg Retirement Village. In addition, she was a member of the Order of Easter Star and the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
She was the wife of Elmer H. Schriver, who departed this life February 14, 1987 and Edmund H. Longstaff, who departed this life July 5, 2003, and is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Schriver, of Glen Gardner, NJ; a son, Roland H. Schriver, of McMurray; three grandchildren and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth D. Bream and Hubert C. Bream.
