"JOS. LEPRE FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOME"

"Jos. Lepre, 73, native of Bay St. Louis and resident of Biloxi 60 years, was found dead at his home, 898 Fayard street, about 5 p.m. yesterday by a nephew, Herbert Parker, and a niece, Mrs. George Rousseau. They were suspicious that something was wrong and broke open a rear door, finding Mr. Lepre dead in bed. A coroner's jury was empaneled by Dr. A. Ferrer, justice of peace and a verdict of death by natural causes was recorded as Mr. Lepre had suffered with heart trouble. He was formerly a fisherman and in recent yearts spent much of his time in his garden. He resided alone and his home and property were kept very neat and attractive. He is survived by a brother, Armond Lepre; three sisters, Mrs. Claude Taylor, Mrs. John Bernich and Mrs. Peter Parker. He was last reported seen alive by Mrs. Valley(sic) Lepre on Monday night and it was believed that death was some time Monday night or Tuesday morning. The funeral will be a 3:30 p.m. from the Bradford Funeral Home with services at St. John's Church by Father J. P. McGlade."
