Mrs. Birdie Andrews, a resident of Daphne since 1917, died Feb. 19 at a local nursing facility. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the Daphne Baptist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons, Vernon Andrews, Malcolm Andrews, both of Daphne and Herbert Andrews, Mobile; one daughter, Vermelle Yates, Fairhope; one sister, Irene Brantley, Silverhill; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services were held Feb. 20 from the Daphne Baptist Church with interment following in Belforest Community Cemetery with the Rev. Grant Barber officiating. Arrangements were by Bayview Funeral Home of Fairhope.
