Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hamilton 82, widow of James P Hamilton, 651 Elm St., died Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock at he home from bronchial pneumonia, following an attack of the flu
Elizabeth Ann Bainter, daughter of Jacob and Mary Ann Gaumer Bainter was born on May 17, 1846 near Adamsville. She was united i marriage with James P Hamilton October 19, 1865. To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom survive. Four daughters preceded her to the grave.
The early part of Mrs Hamilton's life was spent in the Otsego vicinity. In early life she united with the Presbyterian Church, later transferring her membership to the Franklin M.E. Church, and still later to the local M. P Church. She was a faithful member up until the time of her death.
the following children survive, Rev D. L. Hamilton, Stockland, Ill.,Harvey Hamilton and Mrs Cassie Crumbaker of Colfax, Ill., Mrs Lottie Pratt of Alexandria, Ind., James A Hamilton, South Lawn Ave., McKnight Hamilton, East Main St., Arthur Hamilton, Winter Haven, Fla., and Riley Hamilton of the late home, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the local M.P. Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J.E. Tripp. The body will be removed to the church at 1 o'clock to be viewed by friends and relatives until the time of the service.
