Amelia Girardot died suddenly in her chair at her home in Auburn. She had been sick a long time with a complication of diseases and had been worse for five or six weeks.
She was sixty-two years old and was born at Canton, Ohio. She was married to Mr. Girardot in Fort Wayne in 1868.
Of ten children, eight survive: Jennie Girardot, Mrs. Celia Husselman, Mrs. Alice Strauss, Mrs. Carrié Roth, Edward, William, Albert and Joseph Girardot.
The funeral was held at the Catholic church in Auburn.
