She was born on April 7, 1902, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Horace Martin and Emma Sophia Foor Tallman. She married Luther Bland Foster on Sept. 27, 1926. He died on Oct. 30, 1978. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. John (Jacqueline) McBride of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Patrick McBride of Dallas; Michael McBride, Terry McBride, Christine Coston and Julie Bollinger, all of Midland; Sherri Hart of Fort Worth; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Kuilka Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, both of Shelbyville.
