Eileen Elizabeth (Bacon) Boone, 92, of Everett, died February 1, 2004.

She was born in Akin, MN to Mary and Victor Matson. She moved to Seattle at the age of 19 with her Aunt and Uncle Seth.

Eileen worked as a housekeeper until she met George Bacon. They were married in 1933, lived in Edmonds until 1943, moved to Pinehurst neighborhood of Everett where they owned and operated the Everett Bus Line until 1948. She then married Thys Boone on December 25, 1953. They owned and operated Pinehurst Cleaners from 1951 to 1975. She moved into Washington Oakes Retirement Home in 1995.

In 1998 she moved to Bomar Adult Family Homes.
Eileen loved to work with flowers and worked in local floral shops. She owned a beach cabin at McKee's Beach and went there every summer. Her hobbies included playing Pinochle with her friends, knitting and dancing on Saturday nights. She was a member of the Degree of Honor, and Pocahontas Charter of the Redmen Lodge.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Providence Colby Medical Center and everyone at Bomar Adult Family Homes.

Eileen is survived by her sister, Ellen Anderson of Puyallup, WA; sons, Kenneth and (Carol) Bacon of Lake Stevens and Robert and (Janet) Bacon of Snohomish; eight grandchildren, Kevin and (Shelly) Bacon, Denise and (Rolf) Karlsson, Kevin and (Lynn) Bacon Pearson, Marcy and (Jim) Bichler, Lori and (Rick) Pellham, Brad and (Lindy) Bacon, Jody and (Jory) Brender, and Bobby Frankhouser; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 1pm at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.

Memorials to Hospice of Snohomish County, Providence Chapter. Private interment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. Published in The Herald (Everett) on February 4, 2004
