He served in the Army during WWII. He and Verla Mae Morgan were married Sept. 20, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, IA. Mr. Hoaglin had worked in quality control for General Electric. He enjoyed woodworking and growing roses. Survivors include six daughters, Judith Ann Briggs of Sheridan, Carol Butcher of Beaverton, Janice Morrow of Tigard, Patsy Sue Neff of Mt. Pleasant, Shirley Perdue of Lomax, IL, and Jacquelyn Stedman of AZ; three sons, Donald Lee Briggs of Sheridan, Karl Hoaglin of Phoenix, AZ, and Dennis Hoaglin of Davenport, IA; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral for Clifford F. Hoaglin of Sheridan will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home.

Private family interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.

Mr. Hoaglin died Feb. 18, 1999, in Dallas. He was 79.

He was born Aug. 10, 1919, in Hillsboro, Iowa.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He and Verla Mae Morgan were married Sept. 20, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Mr. Hoaglin had worked in quality control for General Electric. He enjoyed woodworking and growing roses.

Survivors include six daughters, Judith Ann Briggs of Sheridan, Carol Butcher of Beaverton, Janice Morrow of Tigard, Patsy Sue Neff of Mt. Pleasant, Shirley Perdue of Lomax, Ill., and Jacquelyn Stedman of Arizona; three sons, Donald Lee Briggs of Sheridan, Karl Hoaglin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dennis Hoaglin of Davenport, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
