He was born in Harrisburg, PA and lived in New Cumberland, PA for many years, before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1991.
He attended William Penn High School and the Harrisburg Academy, both of Harrisburg. Also the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a charter member of American Legion, North Harrisburg, Post 1001, a member of Epsilon Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta while at the University. He retired from Smith/Kline Beecham Pharmaceuticals in 1988, after 37 years in sales & sales management.
Preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Hocker, he is survived by his wife Betty of Jacksonville.
