WOLF, Wallace R. age 88, died peacefully at home June 30, 2012. Wally was born May 29, 1924 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Minnie (nee Draheim) and Arthur Wolf. Wally's mother died when he was very young and was therefore raised by his father's second wife Rose Ella Strohschoen.

Professionally, Wally was a pharmacist and owned Wayne Apothecarie on Kercheval Street in Detroit for 45 years. He was a member of the Macomb County Pharmacy Association and a charter member of the Detroit Lions Club. He was also an avid backgammon player who participated in many tournaments. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, he was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Wally is survived by his beloved wife Gayle and his children; Jeffrey (Denise) Wolf, Julie (Don) Gross, Jay Jakubowski, and Melissa Kingsley. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jill (Chris) Trumble, Shawn (Amy) Wolf, Shannon Wolf, Donald Gross, Alyssa (Raul) Arredondo, Zachary (fiancée Lauren Dunn) Gross, Kelly Gross, Erika Gross, James Gross, Anthony Jakubowski, Robert Jakubowski, Sophia Jakubowski, Jory Kingsley, and Jackson Kingsley, his great-grandchildren; Noah Wolf, Cameron Trumble, Julian Arredondo, Evan Trumble, and Alexis Arredondo, and his brother Marvin Wolf. Wally is preceded in death by his brothers; Clarence, Lloyd, and Fritz, his daughter, Bonnie Jo Wolf, and his first wife Joyce Rae Truttschell.

Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Monday 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday 6:00 p.m. Friends may visit Tuesday beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will take place privately in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
