Area Woman's Mother Dies;101 Years Old
CANAJOHARIE — Mrs. Ella Hittinger Grisard, Town of Poughkeepsie, mother of Mrs. Dominic Dominici, Canajoharie RD 2, died recently at the age of 101. Born in Millbrook Dec. 25, 1865, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Bellamy Davis. Her first husband, Henry Hittinger, died many years ago and she was later married to Frederick Grisard, who died in 1941. A resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie for the last 18 years, Mrs. Grisard formerly resided in Highland for 10 years and in Hawley, Pa., for 50 years. She was a charter member of the Daughters of the American and the Rebekah Lodge in Hawley and was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Town of Poughkeepsie. Besides Mrs. Dominici, Mrs. Grisard is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Isabel Teeter, Town of Poughkeepsie; a son, Lawrence Hittinger, Mi1ford, Pa. seven grandchildren, 12 great - grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Highland Rural Cemetery.
