Pearl Pearson Habourn, 83, of Rocky Mount, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Wake Medical Center.
She was a member of Living Faith Fellowship Church in Rocky Mount. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Russell Habourn; her father and mother, Bartley and Olar Lamm Pearson; brothers, Furney, Doane, Dalmer, Phelon, and Tom; and sisters, Loraine Eatmon and Alvern Glover.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Steve Habourn and wife, Lisa, of Powhatan, Va.; two sisters, Pattie Lewis of Wilson and Edith Bryant of Bailey with whom she lived; a brother, Robie Pearson and wife, Ruth, of Wilson; and an extended family of nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home by the Rev. T. Elwood Long and the Rev. Danny Harris. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday evening, Sept. 4, 2009, at the funeral home.
