My research found a connection to the Finley family to Belle Gunness who was a serial killer in La Porte County. Jonas's grandson Raymond Lamphere was convicted of killing Belle Gunness and her family by burning her home down in La Porte County, Indiana.
Jonas and his wife are both buried in Rossburg Cemetery along with some of their children who are buried in nearby plots.
