Son of Othniel Weaver & Sarah Holley, Father of Moses Weaver, Sr. Grandfather of Holly Hiram Weaver, GGrandfather of Moses H. Weaver, GGGrandfather of Albina (Weaver) Busby.
Julius was a Sergeant in the War of 1812 with the 2nd Reg.of GA under Lt.Col.James Jenkins Capt. Howard's Co. of the Baldwin Volunteer Infantry. He entered service as a Private on 8/20/1813 and was paid $8.00 per month. On 10/4/1813 he was promoted to Sargent and his pay was elevated to $11.00 per month. As of March 1814, Julius was still fighting in this war. Julius was found in the 1818 Twiggs Co., GA tax digest with 74 acres in Lot #120. In the 1820 land lottery, Julius was awarded land in Early County, GA,. LL 331, Sect. 12, R.Belcher Miltia Dist. Recorded in 1820 Land Lottery Book on pg. 389. On 6/16/1826 Julius purchased land in Early County from John Floyd in the 28th Dist., part of LL 340. He paid $85.00 for 125 acres. This property became the Weaver Plantation. The Weaver family cemetary is located there unmarked. To get there, start at Zion Baptist Church, head south. That road dead ends at Damascus Rd. Turn right, go to next dirt road & turn left. You will soon cross Weaver's Creek and at that point you are in the middle of Julius' property. In 1829 Julius was elected State Rep. for GA. In 1833, He was elected Judge of Inferior Court until his death.
