Mildred Ellen Horton Stamps was born on April 18, 1912 in Lorado, Greene County, Arkansas to John W. and Hattie G. (Adams) Horton. Mildred entered into eternal life in the arms of her Savior on June 17, 2012. The family moved to Albuquerque when Mildred was quite young and she lived here the rest of her life. Mildred met Arthur F. Stamps and they were married in 1934. They were never blessed with children of their own. Mildred was a secretary for Savage and Sganzini Insurance and Real Estate. Mildred also held several positions with Albuquerque National Bank until she retired. Mildred was a charter member of the Albuquerque Pilot Club and remained an active member for over 50 years. Mildred was a life-long member of Central United Methodist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, brother, Linley, brother, Lowell, sister, Eleanor, brother, Alvin and sister, Mary Katherine Little. Mildred is survived by her nephew, Charles Horton and his wife, Cindy and their family; and niece, Carolyn Stuart. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
