BRACKEN – Thomas James, 93, Robinson, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2015, at home.

Born Nov. 15, 1921, in Seward, son of late Thomas and Josephine (Rodgers) Bracken.

Also preceded in death by first wife, Garnet Mae (St. Clair) Bracken; second wife, Delnora (Penrose) Bracken; brothers, Walter and William “Clair” Bracken; and sister, Norma Lynette.

Survived by children, Boyd Bracken, and wife, Eleanor, Blairsville, and Jayne Cook, Indiana; stepchildren, Donna Arford, and husband, James, Robinson; Ronald Betts, and wife, Patricia, Bolivar; Darrel Betts, Bolivar; Wanda Betts, Robinson; Marvin Betts, and wife, Veronica, Winchester, Tenn.; and Amy Bradshaw, and husband, Clifford Genchur, Indiana; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Tom was a longtime member of Robinson Church of the Brethren. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired crane operator from Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Plant. He enjoyed Indian Motorcycles and radio controlled airplanes.

Friends received from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Robinson Church of the Brethren, 211 High St., Robinson, Pastor Farrel Abraham, officiating.
