Age 82, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kane. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy and Saint Vincent School of Nursing where she graduated as a registered nurse. She worked as an instructor for nurse's aides and for many years served as a school nurse in the Erie School District. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Barber, Nov. 20, 1990; a brother, Donald Kane; and two sisters, Anne Nelson and Mary Phalen.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. James P. Barber, D.O., of Erie and Dr. Kevin G. Barber, D.O., and his wife, Sandra, of Millville, N.J.; a daughter, Anne Wentling and her husband, James, of Merian; and three grandchildren.
