Private Frank Zein was killed during the attack on the strongly intrenched German positions between Blanc Mont and the Meadeah farm. He had enlisted at Milwaukee in the Fifth Regiment of the Marines on May 24, 1918.

Before enlisting, he had worked in the offices of the Colman Lumber Company.

He is survived by three sisters and four brothers: Mrs. George Bates and Mrs. Robert Skailand of this city, Mrs. Thomas Edgerton of Rapeljo, Montana, Julius Zein of Chicago, William Zein of Richey, MT and Oscar Zein of this city.
