SELLERSBURG - Fenner, Deborah L., 60, went home to heaven on Mother's Day.
She was a faithful preacher's wife, devoted mother, and she loved children of all ages. She was born into a preacher's family to Harvey C. Bream Jr. and Mary Ann Bream in Cincinnati, OH.
She graduated from Greenhills High School in Cincinnati and Cincinnati Bible College. After college graduation she served as the assistant registrar and the acting registrar at the college where she met her husband, Gary E. Fenner. They were married May 13, 1978 and upon his graduation from Seminary, they moved to Richmond, VA where they served Fairmount Christian Church for seven years. In 1986 they moved to Sellersburg and helped found Calvary Christian Church where she served in a variety of roles; including teaching children and overseeing the music. Also, from 1990-2010 she served as the registrar at Louisville Bible College.
She is survived by her husband, Gary and their three children, Joel Fenner (Diane), Brian Fenner, of Sellersburg and Joanna Schaefer (Matt), of Jeffersonville, IN; her parents, of Mason, OH; her sister, Chris Lambert (Rich), of Monroe, OH; her brothers Harvey Bream III (Lisa), of Savannah, GA and Scott Bream (Terri), of Okolona, KY; one nephew and two nieces.
Visitation and funeral will be at Calvary Christian Church, 605 S. Norman Dr., Sellersburg on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon on Wednesday. Arrangements: Garr Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Calvary Christian Church or Louisville Bible College.
