Rachel Elizabeth Elkins was the last child born to William Elkins and Elizabeth Dickey. There is some thought that Elizabeth Dickey Elkins may have died during the birth or shortly after giving birth to Rachel, but there is no proof of this. In the 1850 and 1860 census she is with William Elkins and Unicy Selvidge her step mom. In the 1870 census she is living with her sister and brother-inlaw Louisa Elkins and William Bilderback. They lived near their step mother Unicy Selvidge Elkins and half brother and half sister. Rachel moved with the Bilderbacks to Texas and is on the 1880 census living in Grayson County Texas. She is not found on the 1900 census, but is on the 1910 census living with her niece Jennie Bilderback and husband Charles Marion of Grayson County Texas. In 1920 census she is still living with her niece Jennie in Grayson County Texas. On the 1st of October 1926 she moved into the Grayson County Poor Farm and is found on the 1930 census still living there.
