Mrs. Anna Anderson Dies Here Monday
Mrs. Anna VanDorpen Anderson, 58, wife of John P. Anderson of Fort Collins, formerly of Eaton, died at the Greeley Hospital Monday morning. She had been in poor health for some time, altho she had been a patient at the hospital only a few days.
Mrs. Anderson, widely known in this community, was graduated from Colorado State College of Education and later taught in schools at Windsor, Lucerne, Galleton, LaSalle, and Thannath [Timnath]. She was a member of the Windsor P.F.O. [P.E.O.?]
She and her husband, a retired cattleman and farmer in the Eaton community moved to Fort Collins about a year and a half ago. She taught in a commercial college in Fort Collins.
Survivors include her husband, two children, George Anderson, former student at Colorado State College in Fort Collins, who went to Washington, D.C., about two weeks ago to accept a government position, and Mrs. Vera Kessinger [Kissinger], of Pueblo. Five step-children, who survive, include Mrs. Jennie Anderson of Lucerne, Mrs. Carl Severia [Severin] of Eaton, Mrs. Esther Willis of Los Angeles, Calif., Earl Anderson of Grover, and Gus Anderson of Greeley, sheriff of Weld County.
Body was taken to Armstrong's Mortuary at Eaton.
