Joyce Coleman Barnes, age 79, of Jackson died Sunday morning December 11, 2011 at the Westbury Medical Care Home where she had resided for the past year. She was born at home in Butts County December 2, 1932 daughter of the late Dan and Annie Lee Goodrum Coleman. She was wife of the late Walter Barnes who died in June, 2008. Joyce was a secretary for Georgia Farm Bureau for 17 years and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church in Butts County. Survivors include her children, Dan and Sandy Barnes, Cathy Goens, Angie and Gil Peeples; grandchildren, Adam and Alli Barnes, Holly Barnes, Tony Goens, Elton and Elizabeth Branch, James Goens, Levi Branch and Emma Russell; two great grandchildren, Lyla Melton and Anna Barnes; sisters ans brother, Nell Huffman, Liz James, T. J. Coleman and several nieces and nephews.
