JOHNS - Mr. James Ellis Johns, 79, of Folkston passed away July 3 at St. Vincents Medical Center in Jacksonville (Duval Co, FL). He was a member of the Satilla Church of God and a former member of the North Jacksonville Church of God. He was a retired Teamster and Vice President of the Bachlott Cemetery Association. He was preceded in death by his wife: Ernestine Johns.
Survivors include: 2 daughters: Shirley (Michael) Landers, Woodstock, GA, Darlene (Thurman) Harris, Jacksonville, FL., 2 sons: Jimmy (Iris) Johns Jacksonville, FL., Jackie (Cheryl) Johns Cleveland, TN., Sister: Betty Johns Jacksonville, FL., Grandchildren: Alethea Allen, Karisa Johns, Christina Jennings, Jonathan Harris, Ryan Landers, Great Granddaughter: Kathryn Jennings.
The family will receive friends Saturday July 5 from 68 PM at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Sunday July 6 at 2:00 PM at Shepard Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Bachlott Cemetery in Brantley County. Arrangements are under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia.
