Bob served in the U S Army from 1947-1948 in Germany after WWII. He owned a Culligan Water Company in Kirksville until 1962 when he moved to Chillicothe, MO. He was greens keeper at the Chillicothe Country Club golf course. He then was a deputy Sheriff of Livingston County. He became Chillicothe Township Assessor and then elected the first Livingston County Assessor which he held for 7 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, Chillicothe Shriners, Moila Shrine of St Joseph, and Elks Club.
He was blessed with 5 grandchildren.
