Claude Stanley Treat was born on October 1, 1960 to parents Claude (deceased) and Sylvia Treat. He was called "Stan" by everyone who loved him. Stan went to rest in the arms of the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

Stan the Man was quite a man. He was a man of integrity and courage. He was the kind of man who inspired others to want to be better people. His dazzling smile, sparkling eyes and quick sense of humor warmed the hearts of his family and friends. Stan loved riding his motorcycle around the community. He loved working out and had become quite the muscle man. It didn't take much coaxing to get him to show off his steel physique. Stan worked at Anderson Elementary School as a maintenance person for sixteen years. He was a people person and loved working with the students, faculty and parents there. Stan spent his final years helping others in many ways, from mowing lawns to making needed repairs in many homes.

Stan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mannford where he shared his gifts at fixing things and cleaning up with Wednesday dinners. Stan loved the Lord with all his heart. Helping others was Stan's way of sharing the love of Jesus.

Stan is survived by two beautiful daughters, Maranda Ann Cooper (married to Thomas Cooper) and Katy Lorraine Treat, both of the home. Stan had one grandson, Ashton Scott Cooper, who arrived the Friday before Stan graduated to Heaven. Stan got to hold and love the little boy he had waited for so many months to arrive. Stan is also survived by his mother, Sylvia Treat of Sand Springs, two sisters, Sherry Ward of Oklahoma City, and Shelia Treat of Sand Springs, and many nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews and countless friends. Stan was preceded in death by his father and namesake, Claude Treat, and by several aunts and uncles.

Stan fought his battles with cancer well, and his gentle ways and soft laugh are etched into our memories and our thoughts forever. Thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ that cancer may have won this battle, but it did not win the war! Stan lives forever pain-free in paradise where the sun never sets.

Visitation for Stan will be on Saturday, June 30th from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, July 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Mannford with Rev. Joe Taylor and James Barnard officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
