Dale Wayne Teich was born on Sept. 18, 1939 in Pine City to William and Lora Teich. During his youth, Dale worked with his brothers at the salvage yard and coal shed that his father owned. He also worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in downtown Pine City. He enlisted and served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1956 to 1963. Dale graduated from Pine City Schools in 1958.

After graduating, Dale went to work for Northwestern National Bank in Bloomington, Minn. He also worked as a financial coordinator for the Minnesota Twins at this time. Dale spent the next 50 years banking in Minnesota, South Dakota and Illinois. He finally came back to work at First National Bank of Pine City in 1982, which was always his dream. Dale was active in both Minnesota Bankers and the American Banking Association, including three years on the Community Bankers Council. Dale retired in 2001, but was still very involved in many different banks. He volunteered in many different social and civic organizations including Lions Club, Shriners, Pine Area Endowment, Pine City Planning Commission, Economic Development Association, Flames Snowmobile Club, Pine City Country Club, and most recently the Apache Wells Homeowners Board in Mesa, Ariz.

Dale met his wife, Patricia, while both were working in the banking field in Bloomington. They were married on Sept. 19, 1959 in Pine City. Dale and Pat had two wonderful children. Their daughter, Tammi, was born on July 19, 1964 in Minneapolis and son, Allan, was born on Nov. 9, 1966 in Montevideo, Minn. 

Dale passed away on June 13, 2012 at the age of 72 in Mesa, Ariz. where he and Pat spent their winters. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lora (Prior) Teich; brothers, Raymond Teich, Dallas (Beatrice) Teich, Roy (Harriet) Teich; sister, Iva (Roy) Swan; and nephew, David Teich. 

He is survived by his wife, Pat (Fealy) Teich of Pine City; daughter, Tammi (Dan) Bonneur of Waseca; son, Allan (Jodi) Teich of Sartell; grandsons, Theron Bonneur, Drew Bonneur, Jordan Bonneur and Will Teich; granddaughter, Greta Teich, and many nieces and nephews. 

Dale always said that he was blessed for all the friends he had made in the various locations that he and his family had lived. He had the opportunity to travel on both business and personal trips to places such as Ireland, Tahiti, Germany, Caribbean and Wyoming. He also enjoyed going boating, riding snowmobiles and driving cars, which always had to be the fastest. He loved his family very much and also his Boston Terrier bulldogs, which he had cared for and loved since the age of seven.

A memorial service for Dale was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend Vicki VanderVegt and Reverend Ron Boettner officiating. Special music was provided by Jim Koppen and Glenna Reierson. Honorary Pallbearers were Kevin Anderson, Gene Pals, Don Romano, Tom Gahler, Ron Shimek, Mark Haug, Vernon Kruse, Gordy Engen, Don Mueller and Jerry Nelson. Military honors were conducted by the Heath Perkins American Legion Post #51 and the Minnesota National Guard. Inurnment was at the Birchwood Cemetery.
