Josie Mae Runels, of Ephesus, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 10 2006. She was 93. Mrs. Runels was born on September 24, 1912 in Heard County, Georgia to the late Dora and Ola Duffie Henson. She was a retired store clerk.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Runels was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Runels; brothers, Homer, Bill, Bud, and Bernard Henson; and sisters, Vera Hyatt, Alma Daniel, and Colie Henson. She is survived by her son and daughter, both of Ephesus; five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services held on June 12 at Sardis Baptist Church, with Rev. Darnell Teal officiating. Pallbearers are Shane Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Bill Rhodes, Adam Runels, Eddie McKee, Andy Runels, and Tracy Runels. Interment at the church cemetery. Rainwater Funeral Home, Bowdon, in charge of arrangements.
