DAVID MITCHELL

ROCKWOOD - David Francis Mitchell, 79, died Thursday, August 23, 1956 at his home Rockwood, R. D. 3. He was born April 17, 1877, at Humbert, a son of the late James Kimmel and Mariah Jane (Rugg) Mitchell. A retired farmer, he was a lifelong resident of Somerset County.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Catherine (Ohler) Mitchell; three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Reeves of Confluence, R. D. 3, Mrs. Edna Reeves of Marietta, Ohio, and Mrs. Otto Reeves of Rockwood, R. D. 3; six sons, James and Frank of Rockwood, R. D. 3, Herbert of Somerset, Raymond of Confluence, Ernest of Rockwood, R. D. 1, and Richard of Somerset, R. D. 1. There are 27 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles of Ligonier, and Noah of Boswell, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Jane Metheney of Ursina.
