Sondra D. Ploughe, age 75, passed away Thursday June 29, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton, Indiana. She was born in Tetersburg, Indiana on May 24, 1937 to Dova and Nora (Welchel) Garrett. Sondra married Noble Lamar Ploughe on June 15, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1984. Sondra was an Activities Director for a nursing home in Boca Raton Florida prior to retiring in 1997. She was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson High School in Tipton County and a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton. Sondra is survived by a son, Terry and wife Debby Ploughe of Tipton, a daughter Cindy Ploughe of Indianapolis, a granddaughter, Kristi Lynn and husband Jeremy Smiley, and two great grandchildren; Cheyenne & Dominique Smiley. Also surviving is a brother Carroll Dean Bitner of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and two brothers. A graveside service will be on held at 10 AM on Saturday June 30, 2012 at the Tetersburg Cemetery with Father L. Kinnaman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask you to donate to the charity of your choice.
