Sarah R. Stutz, 82, of Ashland, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006, at her residence of natural causes.
On Nov. 24, 1923, in Ashland, Mrs. Stutz was born to Marion and Florence Beal Hefelfinger. She had been a resident of Ashland County all her life, working 20 years at Myer Laundry. Mrs. Stutz graduated from Nova High School in 1945.
On May 24, 1946, Mrs. Stutz married Glenn R. Stutz, who preceded her in death July 26, 1993. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sarah Marker and Janet and Dan Slagle, all of Ashland; two sons and a daughters-in-law, Glenn M. Stutzof Tacoma, Wash., and Robert A. and Phyllis Stutz of Lenoir, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Amy Heffelfinger of Ashland.
Mrs. Stutz also was preceded in death by a son, James Stutz, on March 14, 1978; and a brother, Marion A. Heffelfinger, on July 15, 1994.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. today, July 24, 2006, at Ashland Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Earlenbach officiating There will be no visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Stutz's name to Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
