Patrick Maloney of near Churubusco, a young man known by quite a number of people here, was drowned in Blue Lake, near his home Monday evening. He was out fishing in a leaky boat, which every half hour or so would fill with water and Pat would have to go to shore and bale it out. Finally the boat so filled with water that it could not be landed and when the young man attempted to do so, it capsized. Maloney struggled bravely, but after rising to the surface twice, sank. The accident occurred about seven o'clock and the body was recovered about eleven. He was married last May to Miss Maude Nickey, a young lady who had visited friends here several times.
