ROBERTSON. Marjory Moser Kling Robertson's

life was characterized by her faith in a loving God, her zest for all life's pleasures, her joy through every season, and her abundance of rich relationships. As she put it, she "seized the wave and rode it."
Born to pioneer educational missionaries in Brazil in 1927, she came to America when she was 13. In 1950, she married seminarian, Jack Kling, and moved to Europe, where they lived in Edinburgh, Salzburg, Vienna, and Munich. When they returned to the U.S., Jack pastored churches in Hackettstown, N.J., Miami, Fla., Birmingham, Ala. and Princeton, N.J. "Marji" was the quintessential pastor's wife and a dynamic mother and friend. After raising her six children, Marji entered nursing school and worked with oncology and substance abuse patients.
Upon Jack's death, she relocated to Richmond, Va. and in 1989, she met and married a loving, devout, retired banker, John Alastair Robertson. Marji and John devoted their 22 wonderful years together to Hope Church and many Richmond ministries, as well as to hosting hundreds of parties and dinners in their home and traveling about the world. Her earthly life ended on January 8, 2012.
Marjory is survived by her husband, John Alastair Robertson; her children, Dr. Ian Kling of Joplin, Mo., Stefan Kling of Hackettstown, N.J., Karl Kling of Sarasota, Fla., Maia Kling of Richmond, Va., Fritz Kling of Richmond, Va. and Lydia Cole of Huntsville, Ala; and by her stepchildren, Ann Walsh of Arlington, Va., Ellen Dahlquist of Richmond, Va. and Tom Robertson of Richmond, Va.; and by her sister, Ruth Moser Parrish of Cornwall, Pa.; and her brother, Karlos Moser of Madison, Wis. She is also survived by 24 beloved and adoring grandchildren who delighted in hearing her stories and knowing her as "Amah."
Gifts in her memory may be made to Richmond Christian Leadership Institute (RCLI) at www.rcliweb.org or 3225 Edgewood Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222. A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. at Hope Church, 12445 Patterson Ave., Henrico, Va.
