Daughter of Patrick William Connelly and Edna May (Behanna) Alger, who were married on 27 Dec 1905, in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. Her father was born in Ireland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1883 and her mother was a homemaker. I do not know what her father's occupation was but. He passed away just before Helen's 3rd birthday and her mother took a 2nd husband a little less than a year later.

With no searchable record showing Helen's existence, I discovered her solely by accident. In Sep 2010, I had called several Monongahela cemeteries in an effort to locate the burial site of my great grandmother. When I finally found the correct cemetery, I was told about 5 other children buried on the same plot purchased by my great grandfather upon my great grandmother's death. Helen was one of those 5 children. Upon hearing the names of the children, I realized right away who they all were and asked the cemetery to mail me a copy of the plot information, which they did free of charge. Her Death Certificate only surfaced in May 2015 when another contributor kindly added it to her memorial.
