Mrs. Virginia Ruth Droneburg, 80, formerly of Frederick, died Thursday, March 20, at Valley View Medical Center, Cedar City, Utah.

She was the wife of Russell Franklin Droneburg Sr., who died in 1980.

Born Dec. 16, 1922, in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Henry L. Sr. and Mary C. Engle Wilson.

Mrs. Droneburg was a member of Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, Frederick, and Samaritan Rebekah Lodge 51, Frederick.

She had worked a few years at American Optical Co., and later with Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Frances Ward of Caliente, Nev., Betty Jane Stone of Thurmont, and Martha Marie Myers of Knoxville; one son, Ronald Eugene Droneburg of Emmitsburg; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Droneburg was preceded in death by two sons, John T. Droneburg and Russell F. Droneburg Jr.; one brother, Henry L. Wilson Jr.; and two sisters, Mary E. Raubinger and Christine W. Burke.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25. The Rev. Esther R. Ziegler will officiate.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
